Why should I work with you?

I am a full-time ISSA Certified personal trainer who is dedicated to helping others achieve their fitness goals. My commitment to my clients is reflected in the results they’ve achieved.

I’m not an athlete. Are your workouts appropriate for me?

Absolutely. I work with a diverse group of clients who have different backgrounds, physical abilities and goals. When we meet for your free consultation, I perform an initial fitness assessment that enables me to create a training program that is tailored to your needs.

All of my workouts incorporate time-tested exercises and techniques that athletes commonly use to get in shape and improve their performance. What varies from person to person is the intensity, duration and frequency of the workouts. We determine those based on your abilities and goals.

Is this CrossFit?

No. CrossFit is a competitive training program, typically taking place in a group setting, that incorporates a number of common strength and conditioning exercises that are not exclusive to CrossFit. When we work together, the only person you’re competing with is yourself.

How long does it take to see results?

While many personal trainers sell training packages promising specific results within a specific timeframe, the reality is that each person is different and has unique goals. When we meet, we discuss your goals and map out a plan that will enable you to achieve them as expeditiously as possible in a healthy, safe fashion.

Do you offer group training?

I offer a drop-in group workout on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:10 – 1:00 pm at the Backyard Coffee Gym located at 965 Brewster Ave in Redwood City. There is a $20 fee.

I am also able to develop programs for small groups. Please contact me to discuss your needs.

What are your scheduling and payment terms?

My rate is $105/hour for clients who train once a week and $95/hour for clients who train two or more times per week. All sessions must be prepaid when they are scheduled. Continuing clients pay for every session scheduled for that month at the beginning of the month.

Are there any exceptions to your scheduling and payment terms?

No. The terms described above allow me to “lock in” availability for clients at the times they would like to reserve and at rates that are competitive for one-on-one personal training in the Bay Area.
