I’M NOT AN ATHLETE. ARE YOUR WORKOUTS APPROPRIATE FOR ME?
Absolutely. We work with a diverse group of clients who have different backgrounds, physical abilities and goals. When you meet with a trainer for your free consultation, the trainer will discuss your abilities and goals, and lay out a training program that is tailored to your needs.
All of our workouts incorporate time-tested exercises and techniques that athletes commonly use to get in shape and improve their performance. What varies from person to person is the intensity, duration and frequency of the workouts. We determine those based on your abilities and goals.
IS THIS CROSSFIT?
No. CrossFit is a competitive training program, typically taking place in a group setting, that incorporates a number of common strength and conditioning exercises that are not exclusive to CrossFit. When you work with a Dowling Fitness personal trainer, the only person you’re competing with is yourself.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?
Factors that influence how long it will take you to achieve your goals include your current state of health and fitness, diet, genetics and how much time and effort you can dedicate to your training regimen. Each person is unique so it’s not possible to make general statements about specific results within specific periods of time.
Our trainers discuss your goals during your free initial consultation and map out a plan that will enable you to achieve them as expeditiously as possible in a healthy, safe fashion.
WHY DO YOU REQUIRE CLIENTS TO COMMIT TO TWO SESSIONS PER WEEK?
Achieving your fitness goals requires adequate effort and our years of experience have taught us that it is very difficult if not impossible for the vast majority of clients to realize meaningful gains with only one training session per week.
While some personal trainers are willing to work with clients on any schedule their clients request, even if they know clients are not making progress, Dowling Fitness Personal Training Services is dedicated to helping clients achieve results. Therefore all of our trainers have chosen to work with clients who are willing to commit to a training schedule that is conducive to success.
DO YOU OFFER GROUP TRAINING?
WHAT ARE YOUR SCHEDULING AND PAYMENT TERMS?
Sessions are $95 per hour with a commitment of at least two sessions per week. Sessions must be prepaid for and cancellations without charge require 24 hours notice.
ARE THERE ANY EXCEPTIONS TO YOUR SCHEDULING AND PAYMENT TERMS?
No. The terms described above allow our trainers, who are among the most in-demand in the region, to “lock in” availability for clients at their desired days and times, and at rates that are competitive for top one-on-one personal trainers in the Bay Area.
